#Airspy planeplotter how to
Ive read about the router formatting etc but im running a windows XP system on a cheap wireless usb dongle in my tower and can not find anywhere how to solve the I.P Address Port problem. HOW DO I SEND THE UDP FOR PORT 9742 TO MY LOCAL I.P ADDRESS OF PLANEPLOTTER ? So here is my main question which i think myself will solve my problem. Ive read about the Sharer Circles etc but every time i do any Network Tests all i get is the error about UDP port 9742 etc. hopefully thats where you guys come in knowing a lot of you are experienced guys. I no there is a way to get these aircraft plotting but after endless of hours reading and trying Im that close to giving up. However my big issue is I cant view the 'Positionless Aircraft' on my screen obviously only endless Military flights only showing in my aircraft view table. Radio (SDR) devices including RTL SDR, HackRF, Airspy and SDRplay. I have gone through all the different information to set myself up to view and download the shared aircraft from other users which I have got running successfully. Press the green circle on the toolbar to start Plane Plotter monitoring. After weeks of playing around with endless amounts of settings I have managed to get my dongle all set up aircraft showing etc.

That's where bandwidth is going to be the tough part.Firstly if this is in the wrong section please feel free mods to move I am a NEWBIE to all radar systems, PlanePlotter and the RTL1090 Dongle. To run the client on a remote network, you'll probably need some sort of VPN/tunnel. I'm setting up on the same LAN so it's just client -> server.

It looks like the license is tied to the hardware though, so you'll need to be sure what device you want to run the server on. You need to pay to attach multiple USB devices to the server. VirtualHere is free for 1 USB device, so you could try the setup without buying it. But when I plug it in over Ethernet, it works great.Įdit: Some more detail. I need wireless for my attic setup and I'm struggling to get the Pi's wifi to push that much. The one challenge with running it on a Pi is that it needs about the same bandwidth that rtl_tcp does (30-35Mbps for a RTL-SDR v3). The only program that hasn't liked it has been Unitrunker. So far, I've gotten it to work with just about everything (SDRSharp, SDRTrunk, Modesdeco2, dump1090, etc.). So the SDR looks like it's plugged directly into your client machine and you don't need to worry about compatibility with SpyServer or rtl_tcp. VirtualHere turns the Raspberry Pi into a remote USB port. In my case, I'm trying to get an antenna in the attic without needing to run coax. I've been playing with VirtualHere to do something similar. I look forward to hearing your thoughts / suggestions!

Is it possible to use DSD+ in this way so that FMP can connect to a remote SDR? Or can this be accomplished another way? With the cost of electricity in Europe, installing a full computer in the house is not really an option. I have no idea if #2 can be accomplished. #4 would be easy enough to implement I believe, although it is the least important in priority. However I don't know if SpyServer can handle multiple devices on the 1 machine. #1 & #3 could be accomplished using SpyServer. A FlightAware / PlanePlotter installation An SDR that could be linked to SDR# for decoding Tetra via Tetra Net MonitorĤ. 1 For reception only dongles there is the AirSpy. Below we will very simply explain SDR theory. the total process is that the signal is received by an antenna. An SDR that DSD+ Fastlane can connect to that would enable me to monitor DMR systemsģ. Its RX performance is also quite bad when compared to an Airspy or SDRplay. With 3 or 4 SDRs installed on the Pi (could be a mix of Airspy units, RTL-SDR v3),I would want to be able to run the followingĢ. I would like to run a Pi at my cousin's house where the reception is much better than at mine. Looking for your suggestions on how to accomplish something, if it is even possible!
